The Banu cafe and bakery was founded in March 2018 by a young Persian couple, Shiva and Behzad. Choosing the name “Banu” (means Lady in Farsi language) was in the honor of all Iranian women for cooking lovely delicious food at home. The idea of setting up the cafe, came up to mind on 2017, after working in Finnish food industry more than 1 year and half, and realizing a big lack of good Persian food and pastries almost made vegetarian and Vegan in the market. The concept is offering the experience of Traditional homemade products with a good diversity in a creative fusion way. The Cafe was opened in May 2018 in Saukonpaasi and the Banu menu includes hot and cold beverages like espresso based drinks, infusions, cold coffee and milkshakes, tasty fresh treats and cakes, Weekday lunch buffet and Weekend Vegan brunch.
